This information can be found in the mailing sent to each customer announcing the warranty extension.

6. How can I find out if my Audi is qualified for the Service Adjustment?

ANSWER: We can determine if your Audi qualified for the Service Adjustment by the vehicle serial number or VIN which can be found on your vehicle registration, insurance card, or title.

7. Now that I learned my car is an affected car what is my next step?

ANSWER: The first step is for an authorized Audi dealer such as Audi Lancaster to perform "Oil Consumption Test 1" which involves replacing several parts, performing several measurements, and updating some software in your Audi. Usually this requires two to three hours and we recommend dropping off your vehicle the night before.

Once we complete the initial work you are to drive the vehicle for an extended period of time during which we can determine if your Audi is actually consuming oil and this typically lasts for 1,000 to 1,500 miles at which point you are to return for evaluation.

8. Now that I am finished with Oil Consumption Test #1 what do I do next?

ANSWER: Return the vehicle to Audi Lancaster for Oil Consumption Test #2 which is a detailed evaluation of the oil consumption during the test period. This test usually last about two hours and can be done while you wait. After the test the results are sent to Audi for further evaluation and determination if the vehicle is truly affected and further action is required.

If the results come back indicating further service work is required your Audi will be scheduled for the "Service Adjustment Work" as detailed in the class action announcement.

9. If my Audi qualifies for the Service Adjustment Work what is my next step?

ANSWER: We will schedule your Audi for the service adjustment work and you should plan on your Audi being here for approximately three days. However, on occasion the repair may take longer due to additional customer elected repairs.

10. Will Audi Lancaster provide me with a loaner vehicle?

ANSWER: We will provide you with a service loaner as per company guidelines.

11. Will I be charged for any of the "Service Action?"

ANSWER: No charge will be assed for Test 1, Test 2, or any repairs relating to the Oil Consumption Service Adjustment on previously identified "qualified vehicles." However, there exists the opportunity for the consumer to upgrade several components of your Audi's engine at significant savings as a result of overlapping labor operations.
